International Conference on Urban Risks


CERU successfully organized the International Conference on Urban Risks (ICUR), that took place in Lisbon, Portugal, between June 30 and July 2, 2016.
More than 150 participants from 17 countries presented 135 communications.

POP-ALERT Pilot Project
in Lisbon


The POP-ALERT Pilot Project took place in Lisbon on the 5th of February 2016. 130 participants gathered from across the EU to test the POP-ALERT tools and provide feedback to the Consortium. The participants got to use the POP-ALERT Dashboard for Population Preparedness and Alerting during a self-learning session and an exercise using a earthquake scenario.



Tsunami Signaling
Lagos


Tsunami Signaling was implemented in Praia da Batata, Lagos (Algarve), on November 1st, 2015. It includes: Information Board, Tsunami Evacuation Route signs and Tsunami Safe Location Sign indicating the evacuation routes to and from the point of concentration. tsunami warning signs.



"When Lisbon Shakes"
Exhibition at Lisbon Museum


"Quando Lisboa Treme - de 1755 à Cidade Resiliente" (When Lisbon Shakes - from 1755 to the Resilient City) exhibition was opened on November 1st, 2015. Lisboa City Council presents this exhibition to mark the 260th anniversary of the 1755 Earthquake. It can be seen at at Pimenta Palace, until the 1st of March 2016.
