As part of its outreach activities, CERU, in partnership with the Dom Luiz Institute (IDL), developed an early tsunami warning system that was installed in the IDL’s tsunami tank. The design and construction of the prototype, as well as its installation, were carried out by Luis Matias, a member of CERU and researcher at IDL.
